Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it. – Charles R. Swindoll
The H-1B registration has just recently concluded on March 18, 2022, The first round of selection started right after and went on until it closed on March 31, 2022.
This year, we just didn’t double the number but quadrupled the registrants, which only means that foreign specialized trainees are given high regard.
We congratulate and are happy for our candidates who got “Selected”. It is now time to proceed with preparation for the submission of applications. The last day of submission of the H-1B application for those who were chosen in the first round is June 30, 2022.
For those who were not “Selected”, there is still a great chance that there will be a second round of selection. Based on the history in the past few years, USCIS conducted at least 2 rounds of selection. There is no guarantee on this. But we hope the same thing will happen.
Normally, the second-round lottery occurs in July. And those who are chosen can start processing their application from August 1 to October 30.
To those of you who opted not to register for H-1B, we understand. You have your valid reasons for not doing so. Each person’s case is unique.
Whether you were part of the group who was not selected, or if you missed or did not register for H-1B, do not wait for the next round of selection or the next H-1B registration. You need to remain proactive and act now in proceeding with alternative backups for Change of Status.
