Alert! J1 Countdown

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

CSI Professionals, Inc. Los Angeles announces an important update on J1 (Professional Trainees) and H1B (Specialty Occupation) – As we approach the remaining days of the year 2021, we would like to alert all current and forthcoming candidates and applicants for J1 (Professional Trainee),  that the numerical count is expected to remain available for all CSI Professionals’ candidates all throughout the month of December 2021 until the first quarter of 2022 – that is March 2022.

Applicants and new candidates must remain pro-active on the remaining days of 2021 and forthcoming months of 2022.

Please keep in mind the following pointers:

  • Your application processing time of about 30 business days or 4 weeks.
  • Paperwork may be delayed due to missing items from your end or point of origin.
  • Eligibility and completeness of your documents and schedule of sponsoring companies to review documents, prior to signing and submission to the State Dept or SEVIS and USCIS.
  • Details of the professional training program
  • Beneficiaries (i.e., spouse and children below 21)
  • Interrupted Holiday season

We will need your prompt attention and unequivocal cooperation during this application and filing process.

If you are still aiming to apply for a change of status between now and the early part of 2022, please start coordinating and submitting your applications with the following requirements ASAP.

  • Resume’ with applicable job descriptions from companies and positions held abroad.
  • Transcript of Records from College and post-graduate completed courses
  • Those with vocational or Associates’ degrees (2-year courses or incomplete college education) – please make sure to submit a comprehensive and complete certificate of employment from your last full (5)five years or more of professional training or positions from abroad. This may allow you to still qualify for a J1 professional training regardless of your incomplete college education or a 2-year vocational course.

For those who are hoping for an alternative H1b (Professional Specialty Occupation), it is best that you plan ahead. Should our numerical count on J1 becomes limited or would reach a certain cap by March, it would be highly advisable for us to process your J1 (Professional Trainee Category) by January until February 2021, so as not to limit your chances for a change of status, considering the annual cap on H1b and limited registration time from March 1st until the 3rd week of March of 2022, only.  This could mean that you won’t be having a backup process, after March 2022, if you plan on applying for a change of status to either one of the 2 categories:

  • J1 – Professional Training
  • H1b – Specialized Occupation

For those planning to arrive between December 2021 until early January 2022, we invite you to join the seminar to be held at our corporate offices on the following dates:
